Guess I'm not going to be so great at this blogging thing. How do people find the time to do it every day or even once a week? I have been busy readying the house for First Born's baby shower. I am finally going to be a grandmother. 1stB has not had an easy time getting this far so while we are still holding our breath we are actively thrilled. After three years of looking at spackle where we removed a cabinet there is fresh paint - song of summer by Behr. A very cheery yellow - about the same color as our parakeet, Toodles.
Having a get together is a great way to force yourself to do those jobs you've put off way too long. Why do we think we don't deserve our home spruced but company does? I read a great article that said everyone should make a list every six months and tackle the projects all at the same time. My younger, but much smarter brother and his wife use one week of their vacation before every year to get rid of the "I need to do List" so they can enjoy the summer without any "I should be doing ..." This is the same brother responsible for the title of this blog. I've forgiven him - I guess.
My lesser half is still struggling with hip pain and assorted problems related to the hip. This is ridiculous after four surguries. How he manages to do what he does with so much pain is remarkable.
Baby of the family is bringing home tetrazini for dinner. She took it to an office potluck and had some leftover. Hooray!
